We stayed at another AirBnB, nestled in the Motueka River Valley, the night after we ended our Abel Tasman hike. The little cabin reminded me of a hobbit house, with its adorable details and decorations. It was located right along a peaceful river and was owned by a man named Ross. He was a musician and had built a stage in the back of his yard, just like my dad had.
Ross was a wood carver and musician. He was a simple man that enjoyed the little things in life. It was such an enjoyable stay. Here are some beautiful pictures featuring his art:
